In the midst of a nervous breakdown, Elena discovers that there is a portal in the ceiling of her mono-room connected to the mono-room of an Elena from another universe.
Synopsis
In the midst of a nervous breakdown, Elena (18), a music conservatory student, quits her job at a record label and discovers a portal in the ceiling of her studio apartment that connects her to a parallel universe where she is the keyboardist of the band "Tigers". In order to return home, she has to win a band competition.
Treatment
In an apocalyptic Buenos Aires, ruined by climate change, Elena, a guitarist and music conservatory student, quits her job in the midst of a nervous breakdown. Arguing with the owner of the Metaverse record label via video call, she throws a glass of cold coffee at the monitor, causing a short circuit that opens a portal in the ceiling of her studio apartment.
Through the portal, Elena connects to a parallel world where she is the guitarist of "Tigers", a post-punk band. In line to sign up for a contest to open for Black Stones she breaks her hand in a fight with another band. The singer has an argument with the keyboardist because he doesn't want to replace Elena and leaves the band. The drummer, bassist and keyboardist ask Elena to be the new singer but she has to learn the songs to play live in three days.
On the day of the Festival Elena falls asleep and they arrive last. The show's security lets them on stage in the dome and "Tigers" make their debut in front of an enthusiastic audience.
After the show and coming second in the competition, Elena slumps into her studio apartment, confused, as her favorite band, "Tigers", plays.
